Elja

Elja

Eldborg • August 13th • 20:00

Seigla’s final recital features dreamy and profound repertoire covering a wide spectrum of colors performed by the highly acclaimed Elja Chamber Ensemble. They will perform pieces which all have a certain connection to France. Ravel, Grisey and Boulez were French, and the Polish Lutoslawski, unable to study in Paris due to World War II, was greatly influenced by his French contemporaries and collaborated with the aforementioned Boulez. The composers all emphasize colors and textures being a focal point in their music, taking the listener on a true sensory journey.

The soloist performing with Elja is mezzo-soprano Þórgunnur Anna Örnólfsdóttir, who has performed throughout Europe in recent years and enchanted audiences with her interpretation and voice.

There will be no intermission.
